Some of these short stories are quite spooky, others are more psychological, and others are full of suspense. My favourites are: "Lamb to the Slaughter", "Skin", "The Champion of the World", and "The Surgeon".

Roald Dahl feels like childhood to me, so when I read the stories that he has written that are much more adult and dark and sinister, it's both awesome and kind of scary.
A few of these short stories are my favourites of all time. "Skin" and "Lamb to the Slaughter" are classic, ironic, and wonderful.
Some of the stories aren't quite as awesome as those two, but they are still enjoyable.

Some of the stories were boring and some were creepy but others were like, what the hell is going on? I wonder if any of them could happen in real life.

Some of these stories were good and some were not. I would recommend this book. I enjoyed most of the stories in the book.

When I started this book, I enjoyed the stories. I particulary loved the Skin and Lamb to the Slaughter as they were really interesting, the only trouble was, the more I read them, the more boring they become. It was like the further into the book you go, the more the stories don't connect in your brain. Nothing really stuck after the first two. The deeper into the book I went, the more I disliked the stories. This annoyed me as I have never read a book by Roald Dahl that I haven't loved. He's one of my favourite authors - I grew up reading his work.
I'm extremely disapointed with the book, but I'm rating it 2/5 for the two stories that I really loved.
