There are some poems in this book that are beautiful representations of the human experience. But then there are plenty of poems that show just how much of a curmudgeonly old man Bukowski was. I like how he asserts that he is not a "sexist pig" in this book . . . the poems unfortunately disagree.

i’ll always love a good bukowski collection. maybe my fav was ‘someday i’m going to write a primer crippled saints but meanwhile…’ that last stanza will stick with me

Bukowski escreve sobre sentimentos de forma crua, e nos mostra um lado real da vida, em contos que são sarcásticos, verdadeiros, cheio de ironia e de humanidade.
 Um belo livro de pequenos contos que nos leva até a mente desse poeta que escreve o que quer e como quer.
