read this book over a LONG period. the Manon chapters were boring but picked up (for me) around the middle. Loved the dynamics and character development. Hated that Sorscha died.

The first half of the book is a very slow burn. Took me a long time to get through it but the second half really redeems the book. The second half on it’s own is 5 stars.
