The horse and unicorn remind me of Samson the horse from Sleeping Beauty crossed with the Mary Poppins horses. So, nicely done with the visuals. The facial expressions are just killer.

The story starts out a bit predictable, but there’s a bit of crime/thriller there in the middle which sets this one apart.

The illustrations are the best part of this book, so darn cute and emotive, but the story itself didn't capture my interest. Good messages about being yourself, but also some scary elements (kidnapping!) that didn't sit well with me. My six year old didn't have a problem, but younger readers may.

Oh, this is a fun one! I would love this in storytime with older kids.
