I never read romance novels because I always assumed they would be too cheesy, but picked this up at a recommendation of a friend. This ended up being one of my favorite books I've ever read. I thought the story and the writing was fun while being honest. I had a smile on my face the entire time. I loved every single character so much. They were all so fun while also seeming like real people. My favorite romance movie is When Harry Met Sally and I felt this was the book equivalent of When Harry Met Sally in terms of it seeming like a more honest relationship that is clear about the ups and downs -- still a romantic movie ending, but we had to work for it to get there, and it happened naturally. I read the ending twice because I loved it so much. I also appreciated the honesty of the sex scenes while still being sexy.

Maybe I just don’t care for romances. This was ok but a bit too predictable for me. The sense of place was weak and the characters somewhat undeveloped. It was a good light read.
