I will definitely continue the series

Interesting world, although we don’t learn much about the broader galaxy beyond this planet, and only dribs and drabs of that. However I enjoyed this story! I don’t recall Loshka being physically described at all, although Malik is, but I definitely got their personality. This is a quick book to read and I’m looking forward to the next!

Warning: there are some pretty graphic depictions of torture and gore but they are brief.

Real good

The beginning is a bit gruesome but once you last chapter one the rest is really good. Loshka is a sec slave that believes he is meant to suffer great pain in order to go to Glory after death. Malik is a warrior that discovers his mate while trying to rescue someone. A bright light occurs when Malik touched Joshua and discovers they are mates. Malik teaches Loshka his worth as a person and they fall in love.

I was prepared for a much more explicit beginning to the book considering all the reviews warning about it, but it wasn't as bad as I was imagining it would be. Thought it would be pages and pages of it, but in reality it was a paragraph or two, if that even.

The story overall was okay, sweet and fluffy (a bit cheesy at points not going to lie) with an interesting world.

The pregnancy was... Interesting? But I kept an open mind about it.

I didn't hate the book, didn't love it - it was okay and I got a bit of enjoyment out of it so it did it's job. Might look into the next book but not rushing to get to it.

Not bad in any way, just not absolutely mind-blowing. Great read if you haven’t read enough mate/hurt-comfort/mpreg troped plots.

Honestly despite how gruesome the first chapter or two is, this ended up being pretty fluffy. I was disappointed in the conflict - there were a few minor skirmish scenes and that was it. The characters adapted to their mating pretty easily, no drama there... It was a decent read, but I felt like the world wasn't as intriguing as the individual characters, so I doubt I will head on into the series.
