I couldn’t do it, guys. A quarter of the way into the 3rd 25-hour long book and I realized it was exactly like turning The Hobbit into 3 movies. There was no way I was making it through 3 more after this.

This is the first book in the series where I'm seeing some issues with the timing of things, but they're extremely small issues. I was also prepared for this to be a cliff hanger, but this was a bit more of a predictable cliff hanger? Whereas the first two books left you with a new tidbit of info to try and figure out before wanting to immediately dive into the next book. I'm still thoroughly enjoying the series as a whole, even if I'm now forced to shift perspectives and go into the flesh and fire series in order to keep up with the entire universe of this franchise.
