Okay so I started this series years ago and stopped reading it and forgot about it. Started it over again and was like hm.. i’ve read this before but i don’t remember how it ends. So I give it another go. I’m not on the third book and god can someone please tell me if it’s worth continuing? I mean COME. ON. it’s so redundant it has literally nothing to keep me interested.

They have the same conversations. The same concerns. Each day they’re rehashed and each day it’s the exact same. It’s literally making my brain BLEED it’s so fucking stupid. I’m struggling to continue reading it but I was told that future books may make it more worth while… I need someone to tell me if that’s true.

I literally think these may be the most poorly written excuse for a fantasy in my life. I almost feel like she’s trying way too hard to make them sexual/smutty which i’m just over lowkey. The fire isn’t even there anymore for Poppy and Cas. Like Cas bores the fuck out of me. I wish she and Kieran would honestly have a fling because that’s how desperate I am for anything to happen.

Please help me decide what to do.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Crown of Gilded Bones had its moments, but it felt like it dragged more than it dazzled. The first part started strong, but the plot quickly became repetitive—Poppy gets in trouble, someone saves her, betrayal happens, repeat. The pacing suffered, and despite all the buildup. Cas and Poppy’s relationship also felt off at times, like he’s more in love with what she is than who she is. The last 100 pages finally picked up and gave me a bit of hope, but I’m still not sure if I want to continue the series.
