This book felt a little different than the first two and it was both a good and bad thing, good more than bad though.
We may have gotten more information and world building than was necessary but the events didn't leave time to i overthink it, we were constantly moving to new places and fighting more than one enemy.
The romance and banter between Cas and Poppy were so much better as a married couple that i was squealing with each interaction they get, also bless you Jen for the shower scenes. Even though now i tear up thinking poppy can't have one without thinking of a certain prince

An enjoyable sequel in the Blood and Ash series, though at times felt it was a little long winded. However, I love the characters and the cliffhanger at the end had me on the end of my seat. Will definitely be continuing the series.
