JLA has done it again. This entire book has had me on a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish, and that ending was just.. I don’t have words. I need the next book now.
I’m still hugely in love with Casteel, Poppy and Kieran I don’t think I will ever think any differently about these 3. I really like Delano and Emil. Emil is super funny too even though he seems like he has a death wish at time with his flirting with Poppy. I know a lot of people say this book is info dumpy but I didn’t see any problem with it myself. When I’m invested so much in a series I need all the information I can get.
There have been quite a few new characters in this book that I’m dying to know more about and a new set of shifters that I’m beyond excited to read more about too.
The smut in this is book is *chefs kiss* perfection, and Casteel showed his Daddy Dom side in this book too which was sooo hot. Kieran’s scene was just as hot.

Fun, but suddenly really heavy on the fantasy/lore without setting it up nicely in prior books. Just important info dumped when necessary.
Casteels role in this book is now completely demoted to simp.
Poppy being god-tier powerful suddenly happens and is cringe.
I still enjoyed the story even with those points, but events do verge on being silly.
Also no threesome yet? Should drop a star just for that.

There were several moments in this book that I had to reread a passage or a whole chapter to try to understand the lore building, especially as we got closer to the ending. All in all, I really enjoyed it, I love getting into old lore, the moments that had me slamming my fist into the couch of "OMG " - just needed a little polish in a few places.
