This book killed be brought me back and killed me again. There was a sense of sick dread as you know he will fail but you don’t realize just how bad the unreliability of the narrators are. My favorite hunger games book. Meeting katniss’s father and mother seeing how. Seeing all the callbacks like sweetheart is so nice. Really makes me feel for haymitch and wonder how bad the other games were. Also poor wiress.

Nothing quite like an incredibly tragic hunger games book to spend a day reading, cried multiple times reading this and I won’t be forgetting it anytime soon

Whoever hurt Suzanne Collins, can you please apologize for all our sakes!? Beautifully devastating story, and I loved the surprises we get from the epilogue. Only complaints were having to hear Lenore Dove’s full name EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. it was mentioned, and I wish there’d been a little less tike pre-games and more time in the games, but it makes sense at the end. You definitely understand Haymitch much more after then and want to hug him and protect him and never let him go after.
