I really enjoy Villalobos’s unique voice. It is bizarre, surreal, pitch-black humor, that sheds light (but no solutions of course) on the Kafkaesque troubles that serve as the modern Mexican society. It definitely helps to know Mexican history, especially the second half of the 20th century.

A humorous book though I think there was a lot lost in translation.
