Meh. I remember this being much better when I read this at 17

I received an advanced copy from Netgalley, to read and review.

The story started slow, with so much history and background being detailed, that I almost put it down. I pushed thru and found a decent storyline, although I expected much better from these authors. Everything came together at the end - for the most part anyway. Seems like there should be a sequel.
fast-paced

To me this book was a little slow in the beginning but it picked up pretty quick. I liked how all three characters had their own strengths and weaknesses that played well with one another. All three of the princesses, Haramis being my favorite of them. I also liked Immu as a side character. I liked the world building too, it was a little confusing at first but as I read on it started to just come together. Overall I think that this was a compelling fantasy read.

Oh man, I read this so long ago. Loved it, but I'd have to reread it to judge it again.

2.5

This was a hard one for me. I read this book when I was a kid and I remember loving it. I really remembered nothing else except that I really loved the book. It's been on my list to re-read for ages. But man this was really a disappointment. I found myself so frustrated and wondering what it was I enjoyed about the book in the first place. The characters in this story were so cookie cutter, too stereotypical for me to really identify with them. I was annoyed with all three of the princess at different points.

Ultimately the ending of the story does get a little better, but it was a slog to get through. The last quarter of the story picked up pace and kept my attention a lot better. By the end of the story the character I liked the most was actually the character that bothered me the most in the beginning. Anigel was one of the few characters that did actually grow and change. I admit to a curiosity about where the story would go in the future when the authors were writing their own books. But I do hope they're stronger stories on their own.

Fantastisk world building, men flade og klichefyldte personer.

Totally different from what I was reading at the time. They all work well together.

Leseeindruck

Trope-filled fun and adventure.
