While the exact twist wasn’t easily discernible, the author gives you clues and heavy foreshadowing on like, page 2, so it wasn’t a shock at the end as much as an “oooh okay, sure” moment. Though the ending was a little sillier than I was anticipating. I wanted to like the book overall, but the deep reliance on long disused Freudian philosophies killed it for me, without even getting into the convenience of it all.
The foreshadowing was so heavy throughout that the ending was a relief just to be done with it. It gripped me like a soap opera that was so silly I had to see where it went.
That said it was a quick read/listen and nonetheless intriguing. If you find yourself thinking “ I want to read a less good Gone Girl,” then check this out.

Wow. I went to the book, completely blind, not really knowing anything at all about the genre, the plot or anything. And I’m glad I did so I won’t spoil anything other than saying it’s a fascinating read, very enjoyable, very quick paced and I highly recommend it. Best book I’ve read in a while.

This book took me on a rollercoaster. Alicia doesn't talk and Theo tries to get a better understanding of who she is and what is causing her not to talk. This book has different twists and turns and the ending caught me off guard. This is one of my favorite thrillers I have read this year.

This book was hard to review for me because I have so many mixed feelings about it. The premise of the book is so interesting and it hooked me from the beginning, however, I don't think the ending was great. So overall, very entertaining, but not mind-blowing.

4.5 stars. I guessed the twist, but I’ve read a lot of thrillers. Fast paced, fun, and well written.
