I felt like DR left me wanting a little bit more of a slow burn romance/love story, and I feel like RV redeemed that for me. I feel like RV made the relationships so much more dimensional and made me feel like it happened over a longer period of time and not so fast. You also get a lot of what you loved in DR + more with RV. Great stories. Loved it. Bought both physical books because I loved them so much (usually i’m an audio fiend) and physically read them. Can’t wait to read more from RJR

I didn't like it as much as the first one and it took me a lot longer to read and finish it. I really liked the characters and that Roman's point of view was more present than his thoughts and emotions. I don't think the presence of Enva was very important as it added little to the story itself, unlike, of Dacre who was well “described” and impactful in the story. The final battle, if we can call it that, disappointed me deeply in that it lasted three seconds without leaving me with a minimum of anxiety during its course. Overall the book is a cute sequel that continues the events of the first book but fails to get into my heart and overcome, or be on the same level, as Divine Rivals.

A lot of people say this one isn’t as good as Divine Rivals, but I honestly liked it better. It DOES have less of the romance, but I didn’t think it was worse for it. I really liked the history & plot we got in this one. It felt a lot more fleshed out than the first one did. Rebecca’s writing style is absolutely beautiful.
