Lauren has managed to land a TA position while finishing her Master's degree in Communications. The problem is that the professor she will be working with is Cooper Morgan, her lifelong nemesis, as well as her best friend's older brother. Should Lauren give up the job before the semester even starts, or can she stand being around the most insufferable man she's ever met? Both equally stubborn - it can only end badly. Or?

I like the premise with the best friend's brother, and also that they get on each others nerves. We get both POV's as well, which I always prefer in romance novels. However, I think there's a bit of unnecessary drama, and both Lauren and Cooper act quite childish sometimes, considering they're in their 20's. Lauren also ruminates a lot, which gets repetitive.

The sex scenes are great and there are memorable side characters, especially Gams (Cooper and Kara's grandmother) and Mike (Lauren and Kara's roommate). Most of the time I have a content feeling while reading, and that's a good sign. But why is there always so much drinking? Sure, they're adults, but do they really have to end almost every day with a couple of beers or wine glasses?! To me it's unnecessary glorification of alcohol. But to be fair, this is a personal issue of mine, due to personal experience, and I'm sure most people don't even think twice about the amount of alcohol on the pages.

This is the first book by Kira Cunningham that I've read, but I love her fantasy books under the name of Lucy Roy! For now I don't think her romance books quite hit that high mark, but that can very well change, and I did really enjoy reading Grading on a Curve as well!
