I adored this one. Loved Chloe and Red and their humour. I laughed out loud so many times. A perfect mix of fluff and spice mixed in with covering serious topics of chronic illness and abusive relationships which was done so well. Will definitely be reading the sisters' books.

This book was very cute and I loved stepping back into the world of the Brown sisters. In addition to the fun banter and general upbeat romance vibes, I’m so glad I read this book for its great disability rep, as I felt that was really well-portrayed.

There were a few aspects of the book that I wish had been given more space to breath. I would have loved for Red’s life and arc to be more “on the page” - we’re told he goes to therapy and fixes his career, but it would’ve added so much more if we got details on that like we did for Chloe’s character development. It unfortunately made him feel a little too “book boyfriend” aka he mostly existed for the purpose of loving Chloe. Honestly, overall, I felt this book needed more of Chloe and Red’s lives outside each other and with friends/family to make it feel more realistic and rounded.
Finally, I hated the third-act breakup. I generally already dislike this trope but it felt especially unnecessary here as Chloe and Red spend so much time reassuring and talking about their pasts/issues. It made the ending feel rushed and like there wasn’t a payoff from that happening.

This was such a lovely read. The characters were complex without being angsty, and the humor hit just right. I believe the world that Hibbert has built, all of the characters seem fully developed, even those who don't get much time on the page (Chloe's parents, for example). I love the relationship between Chloe and her sisters and I'm excited to read more about Dani and Eve in their books.

Red was heartbreaking in his relatability. I wish there were more scenes between him and his mom. I love the snippets of his previous life, the friendships he maintained and the ones he let slip. I deeply appreciate how much Chloe advocates for herself simply as part of who she is, which makes the "conflict" moment of the story doubly gut wrenching.

This book made me laugh out loud, had me on the verge of tears, and Hibbert built characters who are deeply relatable while being completely different from me.

Chloe Brown needs to get a life, literally. After a near death experience she makes a get a life list to have something to flash before her life the next time. In the process, she meets Red- the superintendent of her building. Red also happens to look really good when he is painting shirtless. This book gives the spice in a full open door, but the story wasn't hitting all the marks for me. 3.5/5
