Hot dummies making the worst possible choices until they run out of other options turn out to be quite amusing to read about. Both of the leads are extraordinarily adverse to letting themselves be emotionally vulnerable, making their courtship one of near-constant missteps, but they manage to work it out in the end. I do have to subtract a star for one thing the heroine did:
She casually outs another character while in conversation with her friends. She asks them to keep it a secret and they do so no disaster ensues, but really she should have just kept her mouth shut.

I absolutely loved every word of this. From the hilarious plotting to the characters each unique charms, all the way to the fantasy escapism of seeing fully rounded characters who are both fun and interesting. Waters has quickly turned into a must-read for me.

Not quite as fun as the first of the Regency Vows, but still a good, easy time. I have to admit, Diana's inability to keep a secret was annoying (especially when it could have, in another story, have had such bad consequences for the person involved), but overall it's a sweet book. I'm definitely on board to read Emily's story whenever it comes out.

This has quickly become my favourite book. A great book for getting back into reading, very lighthearted and hilarious. it’s smart and has lots of feminism which i loved. the characters are so amazing and i found myself falling in love with each and every one of them. i adore the way this author writes things and look forward to the third book in the series coming out.
