I was lucky enough to be able to read an ARC copy of this book, thank you to Jessica Jude for that.
When I started this book I did not think I was going to enjoy it that much. Lux really annoyed me with her stuck up rich girl attitude. She was out of touch and snobby and it was something that really bothered me. However, her character development as the story unfolded was subtle but clear. I enjoyed watched the relationship blossom and her attitude to things change as she and her relation ship developed.
the plot was fun but predictable. For me that isnt necesarily a bad thing. I enjoy when books are predictable sometimes, it makes for easy reading. Which is exactly what this is. Its an easy to read book. Something you could pick up and read in an afternoon.
I enjoyed this book and will definatly be adding the rest of the series to my TBR. Thank you again Jessica jude for letting me read this early. cant wait for the next one.

A good read—I really enjoyed the storyline!
Lux is a girl born with a silver spoon. She belongs to the world of the rich and famous and has a habit of making people pay for crossing her—like ruining an auto repair shop just because the owner took her parking spot.
Slate, on the other hand, wasn’t born rich. He has no parents and takes care of his sick sister, whose condition no one can seem to diagnose. To cover her growing medical bills, he’s forced to work on the wrong side of the law.
Lux’s brother is addicted to drugs and ends up hospitalized after using a particularly dangerous one. Determined to get revenge, Lux makes it her mission to find and kill the supplier—known only as “The Wolf.” With no leads, she turns to Slate for help. She offers him: in exchange for his help finding The Wolf, she’ll get his sister an appointment with a specialist doctor. But the lines between business and personal start to blur as Lux and Slate begin to care for each other.
When Lux’s brother dies from an overdose, she spirals into a frenzy, obsessed with tracking down The Wolf. She pushes everyone away—including Slate. Can their connection survive Lux’s obsession? And when Slate’s secrets come to light, what will happen to their relationship?
This story has plenty of drama and spice—a wild ride from start to finish!

✨️Thanks to Jessica Jude for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review✨️
4.5⭐️
I preferred this one to the first one. I truly enjoyed Lux & Slate's story. Which is kinda weird because in the first book I hated Lux, but she redeemed herself in this book.
I also feel this book was a bit more mature than the first one. First one was mainly the gang trying to do revenge plot on people, but this one had a bunch of serious stuff in it. Which I enjoyed. It gave more depth to the characters than just them being superficial and childish. But I understand the first book was there to set the tone and show the characters and their flaws, etc. The first book was good too and while it is not necessary to read them in order, I recommend to do so. It'll give you a better idea of who's who and what are their deal and flaws, etc.
I am now a Lux's fan, and I feel much more connected to her. I also wish I had a Slate in my life 🤭
I also looooved the mystery-kind-of plot with the whole "who is The Wolf" thing.
Highly recommend if you love Gossip Girls vibe, a bit of romance and spice, and a side of mystery.

Jessica Jude is a new-to-me author. I flew through book one, Ace of Betrayal and was so excited for the ARC of Queen of Vengeance and whewwwww she delivered even more for book 2.
QOV was advertised as Gossip Girl meets Breaking Bad which I think is perfect.
My opinion of Lux going in wasn’t great, in book 1 she seemed like a stereotypical “gossip girl” person but I quickly understood why she had these defensive walls built up. Slate however I feel like I liked him, then he made me mad, then I fell back in love.
I liked seeing both Lux & Slate care for their siblings, I think it helped the reader understand why they’ve made certain choices in life. The snark & banter throughout the book is also a-mazing. “Listen, Rambo. We’re going to take a selfie together, and then we split up until you’re ready”
I normally feel like I can guess I can guess twists but I was not expecting it! Although I enjoyed going back and looking for her Easter eggs.
While the friend group makes less of an appearance in this book I still liked seeing them rally at the end. And I like seeing Rhett & Slates friendship. I also always love the pop culture references throughout the book. I can’t wait to read King of Obsession in November!
Thank you Jessica Jude for the advanced copy of this book!

Wow! Slate Lawson, you are a dream! The way Slate is totally enthralled with Lux completely pulled me into this story. Lux losses someone so special to her and she wants her revenge. she enlist the help of Slate to track down the wolf, little does she know the wild is closer than she thought. The way these two characters both do things that are completely out of their comfort zone for each other totally proves you can love after all that's been said and done. Slates words had me in heaven. He just has a way with words. He totally gave everything up for Lux and even helped her best friend when he was falling. Now that is a real man! I cannot wait to head about Rhett in the next book! Bravo Jessica, BRAVO!!!

This had a different vibe from the first book. But I absolutely loved it. I loved learning more about Lux and Slate.
You’d think that Lux would be a typical rich girl, but she’s more than that. She grew so much in the book.
Slate’s perspective was unique. His character development was well done.
This is definitely a dark romance. Enemies to lovers. Dark, witty, and twisty. I loved the comedic relief when things were heavy emotionally.
The story was captivating from the beginning. The banter was beautiful.
I NEED the next book now!!
Thank you so much, Jessica Jude, for providing a copy.

I never thought I could relate so well to a wealthy socialite, but here we are. Despite her background, Lux has been through many things that most of us can relate to in one way or another. I cried quite a bit but it was the perfect ending.

this book was incredible...utterly unputdownable. after obsessing over walker and heath in the first book, i was ready for more lux and to get to know slate...and my goodness, jessica did not disappoint with this book.
with complex characters, a gossip girl vibe and a true showing of opposites attract, the beauty of this book lies in the smallest details and scenes, the tiny interactions between characters that builds into one beautiful work that will live in my mind for a long time to come.
for any fans of dark romance, enemies to lovers, opposites attract or even just a beautiful love story, i beg...please go read this gorgeous second installment in the hand of revenge series

I simply cannot get enough of this author and the world of Wesbourne. This is a wonderful easy read. I read it in two days and I am not sorry about it. Lux was once of my least favorite of the crew until I read this. It goes into her past and she is seriously misunderstood. I am so glad I stumbled upon this ARC sign up because I am in love with these characters! Lux and Slate are my new fav baddie couple. I love the mixing of both worlds and the love that Lux and Slate have for Briar. I cannot wait until the next installment (which I have also requested to be an ARC reader for.) I said it in my last review for Ace of Betrayal (which if you haven’t read that yet, what are you waiting for!) Jessica Jude has a new lifelong fan!
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This one is spicer for sure. Quite a few open door scenes and let be real, drool on my Kindle! The romance was beautiful but the yearning was immaculate. I love a man who worships his woman.
“She couldn’t look more disgusted if my hand were a live snake. This only increases my desire to riddle her dainty feathers, see what kind of wild beast lurks beneath that immaculate exterior”
