I really liked Ada and Wes together. They were really cute. I loved how patient and caring Wes was for Ada. The scene with him waiting at the border to come back KILLED ME. It was so damn sweet. He just KNEW she'd be back. I think I liked Brooks and Emmy's story more though. They were really funny (plus I have a thing for guys named Luke) and their relationship was hot from the get-go. What I'm REALLY looking forward to is Teddy and Gus though. That's going to END ME. I hope it's as good as I'm building it up in my head!

This was a cute sequel to the first book. It did have some lines that were the same across the two but it didn’t make much difference because it still fit in. I did enjoy the progression of the characters from the first book into the second though. It helps to tie everything together very well! Easy read and lovable

I adore Wes and Rebel Blue, and while this was a quick and flirty read I wanted to through the book multiple times because of Ada. She only defining features are her personal relationship trauma, low self-esteem, and her inability to think decisions through before acting. About 20% of the time I could relate to some of her internal thoughts, but the rest of the time she just frustrated me. And while the main characters had really good chemistry, the way the relationship jumped from Ada trying to hate Wes to Ada letting things happen didn’t really make sense and felt out of place. She tried hard to be mean and to push people away and would run away (literally) instead of just talking. And when she did talk, she put her foot in her mouth a lot. Kind of “pick me girl” energy without the confidence. Wes is amazing and honestly deserves better 😬 I could not get behind Ada.

This book was phenomenal. The narrators really brought it to life in the best way. I loved the meet cute. I loved the way Ada and Wes opened up to each other. I loved their chemistry and passion. I loved the mental health representation. I loved how supportive they were of each other's dreams. I loved how the side friendships evolved. I loved everything about this book.

HEA
He falls first
No third act break up (just a sweet come to realize she doesn’t want to give him up moment)

A cute caring, gentle and so loveable cowboy and a black cat emotionally traumatised interior designer who get a sweet happily ever after. Lyla sage always writes such sweet, heartwarming, caring and just genuinely good romances. I always know I will get good characters, good story and lots of sweet kick your feet moments.

Only complaint
you are telling me we only get a couple sentences about the baby blue reveal? I wanted more Amos reaction moments but I get why she only did a little section.
