I appreciated that all three stories connected, although in this volume more than the others, I wished that there was a forward or epilogue explaining whether and what was true. (From a quick check on Wikipedia I believe the characters and main family were imagined.)

I didn't connect emotionally with the first story, but wished there had been more of the middle story. All three stories felt somewhat truncated. I was interested by the woman in the third story, but she didn't get enough screen time.

The third story was illustrated in a different style that reminded me of medieval art, especially stained glass. A fitting choice given the time period of the story.

I don't recall whether this is because it's been several years since I read the other volumes, or I am just more aware of it now, but it especially perturbed me that the mother in the first story didn't even get a name.
You know she's just there to get fridged.

A strong ending for a solid graphic novel series. I particulary enjoyed the strength of the Brida Haukerson character and her nuanced portrayal.
