I loved this… it’s depression and anger and quiet rage, but also finding your way back out of it.

Our main girl was cheated on… she thought they worked through it, but then 5 years later he is leaving her and moving in with that other woman. She has two children that he now has no time for and she is rightfully angry.

The written was simple yet beautiful and brutally honest. I was invested in the story from page one!

If I could kill Mario with my bare hands I would. What a piece of shit. Masterpiece. Loved it.

Very solidly enjoyable read, difficult at times when things get really graphic, but it's worth it in the end. The book made me reconsider my behavior as my mother's child and as an older sister to two brothers who are still in her household.

People talk about motherhood, you read about it, but similarly to how The Husband Stitch forces the reader to view womanhood with new angles, so does The Days of Abandonment. Even if it will never be my favorite book, it is worth a read by anyone and everyone.
