Short funny stories about a man who gave up being a Yakuza (or member of a gang - think the Mafia but Japanese) to become a househusband.
Stories don't say anything in particular, but the main message is "don't judge a book by it's cover". Tatsu is very passionate about what he does now, even if it doesn't look like that's what he's doing.
V cute.

it’s funny, but that’s really it. there isn’t any plot just slices of life which isn’t an issue, per se, i would just like to know more about his backstory and why he left the yakuza. i also could not for the life of me tell you what his name is. i think it was brought up once before he is continuously referred to as the immortal dragon or boss. i find it strange for this series to make his whole identity ex-yakuza without elaborating on it even a tiny bit.
i also don’t know if their marriage is legitimate or one of convenience. he cares about his wife, for sure. whether she feels the same or not isn’t clear. neither of them are openly affectionate with one another or touchy-feely so far. i hope theirs is a true love story just because it would add some
much needed substance to the story.
the artwork is amazing. i hated the stills they used for the anime so the manga is definitely how im hoping to devour this series. i can only hope that as i read more volumes, an enjoyable plot is added and we learn more about him.
all in all, a well deserved 3.75 stars

Having repeatedly watched the anime on Netflix, I decided to try out the manga as I’d been recommended it several times. It’s pretty much exactly like the anime so I enjoyed it quite a bit. It’s comprised of very short slice of life stories that are just absurd. It’s not always laugh out loud funny but I find them all amusing. Definitely going to check out the rest of the manga while I wait for another season of the anime!
Minor: Blood and Violence
It’s about a former yakuza (Japanese mafia) member so there are often references to past violence and a few panels where he’s covered in blood (although it’s in black and white not color). It’s played for laughs but if you’re very sensitive to any violence this may not be right for you
