This book had a slow start, but it gradually developed into a captivating story that I couldn't tear myself away from. I can tell I'm truly loving a book when I'm willing to stay up into the wee hours of the night to finish it. This one had me reading until 2am.

Labeling this as a lovely, spooky, enemies-to-lovers tale is both wonderfully true and an oversimplification. In addition to the romance and fantasy elements, and more importantly, this book explores themes of classism, family legacy, and the definition of “home.”
