Wow the wild ride finally comes to an end :")

I admit I was very scared to read this because I've seen a lot of people complain that they didn't like the ending but holy cow I LOVED IT!! Yeah admittedly the pacing and dialogue had some issues but the general plot line was insaneeee. The first manga series I ever read and it completely blew me away. The writing, the plot, the characters, the world building, and the many, many, many plot twists I didn't see coming all deserve a 10/10. I actually cried at the ending (and I never cry) so additional points for that. Eren is quite possibly one of the most interesting characters I've had the pleasure to follow and honestly I wish I could give that boy a hug. Most of my favourite characters ended up dead but oh well, go on break my heart ig

I seriously cannot put into words my love for this series and I'm sure I'll go crazy when the anime catches up to this part. In the meantime, you bet I'll be blasting the soundtrack with my fist on my chest. Can't wait!

There is a lot to say about this series and most of it is a complicated way to explain that this series is heavy, grotesque, real to the the most disgusting truths of being human, and yet hopeful.

It’s difficult to come by a series that doesn’t hold plot holes and flaws. Attack on Titan is one of those one in a million stories. I have sat here and thought about the plot line from character death to the existence of a character and I can’t figure out a way for the story to be told in a different way, let alone in a way that makes it better. That’s why it’s as close to perfect as it gets. I just wouldn’t have it any other way. Even if I wish for different things in this story I know how it happened was the best way for it to happen.

Though the art of Attack on Titan isn’t the most beautiful, it is true its genre. It’s dark and gritty. I also enjoyed the improvement in the art and grew to like it. Isayama has an insane amount of control on expressions. The panels are dynamic and slip from past and future seamlessly. Though it was difficult for me to pick up the series on many occasions because of the art style, and the excessive amount of speech bubbles—that come with a story full of strategy—I wouldn’t any other person drawing this series.

The characters are so flawed and aware of themselves. It’s difficult to come by a cast of characters like the one in Attack on Titan. Female characters that take charge, play vital roles in the story, and aren’t left to be romantic interests. Male characters that are headstrong and easy to cheer for. The characters are dynamic. They struggle with themselves and with each other. They’re real. I will always think about these characters and the choices they made.

We can debate the queerness of Attack on Titan forever. However, I believe it was there and I loved it’s simplicity.

The ending is what it needed to be. I’m happy with it. I cried a lot. Most importantly, it didn’t feel like I wasted time for it. I really do wish there was just one more chapter to smooth the ending out a bit more but it isn’t bad as it is either.

This was a rough series to get through. It’s emotional and gruesome. But it is a good story.

"Shinzou wo sasageyo"

What a bittersweet ending to the series I've journeyed with for years. 😩 I may or may not have shed a few tears as I read the ending.

If I'll be honest, I wish the last chapter could've been longer to give more semblance to the series's closure. But nonetheless, I loved the final volume as a whole. It went towards directions I truly didn't expect and was heartbroken a lot of times. It felt like I was saying goodbye to childhood friends, really. 😭

One thing's for sure: I'll definitely re-read and rewatch the whole series again and again.

It's finally over! SnK is finally over!
I'm not going to lie, the last two years I've been so confused and uninterested in the plot, and so many of the characters were drawn the same way it was difficult to tell them apart (except like the main 5 or so characters), but the ending was satisfactory enough and still left me feeling bittersweet.
I'm glad my fav character didn't die. I really would've rioted if they had.
