Phoebe is my favorite single-mother heroine. I love West’s redemption arc. West made me realize that the single most attractive quality a man can have is competence. But the “I’m not good enough” trope dragged on a touch too long. A really sweet and fun read.

I know I’m going out of order with this series but it makes it so much fun. I am sad there wasn’t an epilogue for Phoebe and West but I still love them. Oh, I love them so much. Right after Pandora and Gabriel. I really enjoyed this one. Kleypas really understands that these are supposed to be a sweet mix of angst, comedy, and true unadulterated love. I won’t stop thinking about West telling Phoebe “I love you the way that dry soil soaks up rain!”

Who is saying things like this anymore? No one! Anyways, this was beautiful and I will be revisiting and buying a physical copy.
