Islamophobia in the introduction doesn’t bode well for being a book of any benefit to any woman who isn’t white and Christian

This book is an extremely important artifact of early feminism and historical thought leadership. Everyone should read this for their own growth and reflection on past and future.

Argues for the education of women but also for now-outdated ideals such as modesty. An interesting read given this book's historical importance and how the shape of feminism has changed over time. But the core demand hasn't altered - equality between the sexes.

The writing style is a bit of a slog to get through in some places but definitely more readable than some works from the same time.
