this was just meant to be a quick read for me and it was, it was okay but i think straight romance novels will probably never be books i genuinely enjoy, they just arent for me.
also Hated the frequent use of the word ‘milk’.

"You're the kind of woman who should come with a warning label."
"What? Loves trashy reality TV shows and fails at cooking?"
"Makes a man lose his goddamn mind."
Did I enjoy this? Kinda... to a certain degree.
Did this book have potential? Yes.
Did it meet it? No.
Honestly, the romance is this book was suuuuper undeveloped and it didn't help that it was very insta-lovey and was more tell than show... And the writing wasn't my favorite either, it felt too cliché and corny sometimes it was too over the top and missed the mark for me.
The friendship, however, might just be the best thing about this book in all honesty.
4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Knot my Type is the first book that I've read by Evie Mitchell and this book took me by surprise. It was so much better than I have expected because it's really good. Also, I didn't expect for this book to be quite short but it didn't feel incomplete or anything. In fact, it's such a great read that I was able to finish the entire book within a few hours.
Now, I have to admit. The first few chapters weren't really able to catch my fullest attention. I don't know if it's because of my reading slump that I felt that way, but fortunately, it gets better and better which I ended up loving it. Like seriously, this book was pretty sweet which made me adore it so much ❤❤❤
Talking about the characters, Frankie & Jay are such amazing characters. I can't even describe how much in love I am with these two. They have such great personalities that all readers will definitely adore. The connection and the chemistry that these two shared proved how much they are meant for one another. All their moments in this book are my favorites, especially during the second half of the story. The amount of respect & care that they have for each other definitely stole my heart.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read for me and I think Evie has done a fantastic job in delivering this story, especially when it comes to disability representation. The storyline itself was well developed and greatly written. It was sweet, funny, and also angsty at the same time. There were some parts that were quite heartbreaking but I loved it. Anyways, I highly recommend everyone to try out this book because it's totally worth a read. You definitely don't want to miss it!
