Love the representation of wheelchair users and talks about chronic illness and accessibility! A+! The spicy sections were well written, too. Especially because Frankie's pain and sensation are mentioned. Frankie is a great character. I loved how understanding and self aware she was. However, the pacing is really weird in this book and makes it hard to connect with the relationship between Frankie and Jay. I didn't really feel like the two of them had much chemistry and the big miscommunication seemed off to me as well.

I- THIS BOOK WAS FANTASTIC! First of all it was the most sex positive book i have EVER read. The MC was so quirky and confident and spunky and not afraid to tell it like it is! She called Jay on his shit and he just was head over heels for her. I mean HE TORE DOWN A WALL IN HIS HOUSE FOR HER!

I really wanted to like this book - I had seen people posting about it as great disability rep in romance and while that was INCREDIBLE, the rest didn’t hit for me.

This was such a fun, quick read, I loved the characters and their chemistry and their exploration of shibari and their own sexuality. I also loved the way they support each other throughout, albeit in different ways but just a great read.

i was really excited for this book to come out, and while i did enjoy it, i had some issues. it was a wonderful premise and story, but almost nothing was fleshed out. it was like the author only wanted to hit the highlights of what a typical romance is. there was no depth, everything was very surface level. that being said, i still enjoyed it. it was a fun and short low stakes book. will i read any sequels? probably not.

Frankie enlists Jay’s help explaining shibari on her sex positive podcast. From the moment that Jay sees Frankie he’s immediately smitten. The inner monologue these two have about each other is fantastic! I was constantly cracking up during those scenes.

Frankie is what I like to call a sunshine girl, always upbeat & looking on the brighter side of life. I wish I was more like Frankie, she’s just so positive. Jay is one of those genuine guys that would give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his wallet. We see the book the length he is willing to go to make Frankie comfortable in situations. Jay is also a scared person, he’s been hurt deeply in events prior to the book so we do see growth in that he learns to let go of that hurt.

I love that we have a disabled heroine. Anything outside of what we perceive as “normal” isn’t really showcased in romance. I’ve only read a handful of books where one of the characters deals with a disability or illness that is more uncommon.

The number of times I rolled my eyes 🙄
