Consider this my resounding & enthusiastic endorsement: yes, you should read this one.
Frankie is a stellar FMC: self-assured & capable. She has several quality friendships & a well-adjusted life. She can’t cook for shit & doesn’t do anal, but nobody’s perfect. The MMC, Jay, is a bit of an unprocessed mess, frankly, battling a self-fulfilling prophecy of commitment issues. However, he’s also a complete goofball with fantastic sexual energy and a penchant for rope.
The energy here is exactly what you want a rom-com to be: cute, fun, & flirty. However, it’s not at all flippant. Indeed, the characters are very carefully constructed & considered, the various particulars of the respective MCs were thoughtfully addressed & consistent. Each character felt fresh; you haven’t read folks exactly like them before.
The downfall of the romcom is, almost always, the third-act conflict. I find they’re often all at once sloppy, lazy, and wasteful. They’re not well plotted, seemingly random, and entirely too shallow in resolution. In Knot My Type, it is brilliantly executed. The circumstances around it are a little larger than life, but I totally believed both of the MC’s actions, as well as the resolution. Not to mention, comprehensive considerations of the resolution were solid & healthy. There were, of course, some cringe moments. However I’m forgiving those as essential to the genre, because I’ve come across zero romcoms that don’t have at least a few moments that make me roll my eyes.
We are introduced to Frankie’s closest friends, and, while I have a soft spot for Flo, I am eager for every single one of their love stories as well.

Super cute light kink romance! Jay and Frankie are super cute and you wish for them to be together! Jay being so pushy for “no relationships” and Frankie’s laid back attitude!! I truly love them and could not put this story down!
I was able to finish in one sitting.

I read Knot my Type in the twinkling of an eye: short, easy to read, spicy and it makes you want to keep reading until it ends.
What I loved the most is Frankie, the girl main character, because of her strong personality. I also loved her friends and how the book treats disabilities but without focusing the plot around it.
What I didn't enjoy so much was Jay, I mean sometimes I like him but sometimes don't. I also notice some words repeatedly and again and again and again and sometimes when this happened and I read that word again I kind of hate it. Finally some sentences that were like if someone throw me a jar of could water.
That's why is a 3 stars for me. However, I encourage you to read it and tell me what you thought about it. I will read next books of this series to know what will happen to Frankie's friends.

this was short enough so that the flaws werent that annoying.
This book had good bones, the premise was interesting and the main character really shone but the whole thing felt under developed. It could have been a longer story, expanded and then I think I would have enjoyed the romance more. It all comes down to the love interest - he was very much a cardboard cut out, not much character or personality - he was just there to further the plot.
I really loved this book. I loved the Frankie's character. I loved her backstory and her success with her podcast. I loved Jay and his backstory too. I understood his commitment issues. I loved the representation and the sex positive portrayal in the story. I can't wait to pick up more books by this author
A super-sexy novel with great accessibility representation. I picked up this book because I have not read a lot of romance with an MC using a mobility device. I have read other romance and erotica with rope play, so I had a certain expectation, and the first half of the book delivered!
However, the second half of the book loses some of the spice and turns more into a traditional romance novel with sex as the background to the emotional storytelling.
I will tell you I came to this novel for the kink and wished for more of it throughout.
I am absolutely excited to stick with this series and read the next novel.
This is a nice start.

DNF at 60%. Great potential in the beginning, cute characters. Plot was too rushed and too predictable though. Give me at least a spark of suspense.
