I read this book as part of the ABC book challenge. I am glad I picked this one.  It is a must read and I couldn't put it down. I love how he frames his talking points and his thesis.
I liked the ending  allegory of racism to cancer.

This is not an easy read, but it is an essential one. I often had to stop and sit with what I had read to consider the new ideas and challenge my own racist thinking.
Kendi is unapologetic about explaining his own racist, homophobic thinking and how he worked and continues to work to overcome them to be antiracist. I appreciated his candour even as I was struggling with my own thinking.

The concepts in this book are introduced incredibly well and built upon throughout in a really easy to understand and follow way. Kendi ensures every idea is written out plainly and uses examples from his own life to encourage the reader to examine their life just as critically.

I will definitely have to return to this book to ensure I internalized everything because there is A TON of information here. But I highly suggest it to anyone trying to think more critically about the racism in our country and in our personal lives. It’s a great place to begin

How to Be an Antiracist's value does not lie in any single aspect. Dr. Kendi is an expert storyteller, weaving anecdotes into personal revelations into explanations of racist power into instructions on antiracist tools. His writing is sensitive and pulls no punches. It is inclusive and intentionally specific. This book is a sermon as much as it is an anthology. It is a rallying cry. This is required reading for anyone on the path to a "more just and equitable society".
