Truly stunning book that got me out of a reading slump. The idea of telling the story through police interviews is really clever and brought the concept of unreliable narrator to a whole other level.

Love love loved this. The story was great, and it kept me hooked the whole time. Having it in an interview format is genius, and I love the subtle differences between the characters' versions of events, I also really enjoyed the conclusion. My only issue is there were some drawn-out moments or some moments where the characters would say something suspicious, and the police wouldn't ask for further detail, which I thought was unrealistic

I'm actually shaking writing this the end left me lotion awe like wtfff. While we expected some kind of supernatural entity or something as the grand reveal the sheer realism of how Maylee ended up was so much more devastating in my opinion.

Marketed as YA. Too much profanity and homosexual / marxist propaganda. If that hadn’t been woven into the story, it would’ve been 5*s.

4 stars only for Nolan, he kept the story interesting and funny throughout. I wanted to slap Petra and Maylee most of the time, although Maylee was somewhat relatable.

Ending was sudden, I excepted more of a closed chapter, but i guess nothing happened to them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was amazing. Written only in first person police interviews we learn everything as the police do.

If you love books where you can't trust the narrator this is the one for you because everyone has secrets but whose secret is the reason one of their friends are missing in the middle of the forest??
