Mockingjay completes a trilogy in a crescendo of violence and trauma. Katniss has survived two Hunger Games, but recovering from the trauma and finally defeating the Capital is a burden that she can barely bear. The frank discussion of the PTSD and mental psychosis that comes from so much death and devastation in a teenager is a breath of fresh air from how many childhood traumas are handled in fiction. The ending is bittersweet but offers hope for a future of healing. A riveting and visceral ending to a series that has changed how I see the world for the better.

Oh my gosh, where to begin? This story made me realize how fortunate I was with life. The people in the districts struggle for their basic needs like food, and it always breaks my heart. Katniss was badass until the end, damn, my girl, you're unstoppable and inspiring❤️ Prim😭 It's a good thing, she eventually was with Peeta and their kids💕 I liked that this has a hint of reality tv because it made the story fresh. But damn, the characters truly struggled a lot, Peeta seeing Katniss as a villain and all that. There were a lot of deaths and it was a pain to read😭 Overall, a great trilogy✨ Fast-paced and gripping❤️ Thank you, Suzanne😍

> Escrita [1/1]
