I really enjoyed the series. It is not something that I would have picked for myself but many of my friends gave it positive reviews. I felt this was a little rushed but there was so many loose ends that needed to be tied up that I kind of understood. I didn't have any unresolved questions when the book was over. Excellent series and can not wait for the movie.

I don't want to comment a great deal because I don't want to give anything away. But this book & series ended perfectly (for me anyway).

A good ending to a good series. This one gets a bit more Twilight-y than the other two (some people will like that, some people won't), but she still manages to keep the story going and keep things from getting too YA sappy. It was a nice way to wrap up the trilogy, and I definitley enjoyed all them. I would agree that if you like Harry Potter or any other Fantasy/Sci-Fi YA series, you'll enjoy this one as well.

I had difficulty getting through the final book in the trilogy. It didn't have the same flow as the others. However the ending was worth it. I won't do a spoiler, but the series is well worth the read.

After re-reading this book, I'm very curious about how they're going to film a lot of it. I liked it better this time; the anti-war sentiment was clearer and felt more effective.

I don't know if I can finish, I don't like the third one. Lots of torture and Katniss is more confused and incorrect than ever.

Not going to lie, I'm disappointed in how Collins chose to end this series. It felt rushed, hacked together and sloppy. I could justify that feeling for a while with the fact that we're watching everything from Katniss' point of view and she is progressively going insane through her choices and the actions of others. But there were events that should have elicited more emotion from me than they did and they felt glossed over to get to the next thing.
Personally, I can't remember reading a book that made me feel less engaged with the main character. I was more interested in characters like Gale, Primrose and Peeta than I was with Katniss. I wanted to see her develop more but her reactions to situations kept feeling like she couldn't learn from her past mistakes. Most of the things she did made her less of a believable character to me and I stopped caring.
That being said, the story itself is fascinating. Most of the time, I was completely engrossed in the fate of Panem. But I feel like hearing the story through Katniss' POV just lost it for me.
It'll be interesting to see how they treat the last two books as movies. The gruesomeness of the third book will be difficult to keep PG-13. The fact that they're turning Mockingjay into 2 movies is going to make it even more choppy and frustrating, but oh well. Hollywood has to make money somehow...

I didn't like listening to it as much as the other two books in the series but still a really good book
