I did not finish this book. I lost interest about one fourth of the way in. I sounds very much like something I have read before but can’t place where or when. Maybe it’s a rewrite although it does not say that.
I could not like the characters and was not finding it at all that believable or interesting. It was just another let down I’m very sorry to say.

What. Just. Happened?! JP Delaney has done it again. Believe Me had me on the edge of my seat and guessing the whole way through. It is suspenseful and thrilling all rolled up into one. Delaney has written a psychological thriller that leaves you stunned in the end. If you’re a fan of Gone Girl or Girl on the Train; this is a book for you.

Dark at times but easy to read because of the short chapters and at times script like dialogue. This book will divide some I. It’s writing style and hence I feel this is why it has mixed reviews. As far as psychological thrillers go I thought it was great. More believable then most. I will certainly read more by JP Delaney as I loved his first novel The Girl Before and enjoyed this one.
I’m convinced there is not another murder-mystery book with as many twists as this one and I’m pretty sure I have whiplash. The twists are not what I would expect either, like a background character having a big role in the plot towards the end, but that’s too small of a twist for this book. Instead the entire story changes paths. It went from a regular murder case, to a psychological thriller, to a undercover police heist, back to a murder mystery, and so on. But still had me flipping through the pages as quickly as I could.
Be aware, if you pick up this book, the slow parts are where something is about to take a turn, and when you start picking up on that, there are no sow parts.

Interesting read. Lots of twists and turns. An original plot makes for a refreshing break from the norm
