3.6 AVERAGE

Oooooof, this book made my head spin! For me it was unputdownable as few books are, and when I wasn't reading it I found myself turning over all the questions and theories I had in my head. I can't even count the number of twists as new information came to light, and the ending had my heart beating fast and I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough. I think I'm going to be thinking about it and the still-a-mystery main character for a long time.

Nice one, lots of twists in this one. A good read

Quick read, but I thought this book was disjointed and all over the place. I enjoyed The Girl Before better.

Always amazed by Delaney's craft, writing, her brain that creates these twisted and enthralling stories that I can't get enough of. This was another win for me and a great start to 2019! I'm just blown away but every single detail of this book, especially once I reached the ending. It definitely fooled me to the very end. This is going on my fave reads of the year already!

read in 1 sitting!

Y'all...wow this was the perfect book for me. I read this in one sitting. That definitely was not the plan, but I couldn't help myself I had to keep reading to figure out what was happening and I went through it with this one.

Ok now before I overhype this damn book just know that this will appeal to readers like me that enjoy action movie thrillers, with little to no character growth or development - although a strong argument could be made for Claire I suppose. Whatever... I stand by some people might not like this because it has a heavy theatre lean. Claire the protagonist is a Brit in America trying to make it big, but not landing any roles or jobs. She's working as a decoy for a firm of divorce lawyers basically trying to catch men cheating. She seems good at what she does, until one job doesn't go her way. then she lands a different sort of job. This time she has to use her acting skills in ways she never imagined.

If you enjoyed any of JP Delaney's other books I'd like you to try this one. Just come back and let me know what you thought after you do.

This book... I love a good psychological thriller. All the twists and turns and it was completely believable. This is why I love psychology. I think I’ll read The Girl Before! I highly recommend this book.

This book is a MESS.

Oh man where do I even start with this book? From the very first chapter I was completely hooked and ended up finishing this book within 48 hours. This book is sexy, suspenseful and surprising throughout and I thoroughly enjoyed it. One of my favourite things about this book are the short chapters and the fact that it’s often set out in the format of a script which I found very unique and made it a lot more interesting to read. This is also very relevant to the story as the main character Claire is an enthusiastic actress.

I frequently found myself on the edge of my seat and I really had no idea what was about to happen. I really love when I can’t guess the ending of thrillers and this book definitely had that going for it! It’s a great thriller and it’s definitely up there with my favourites.

When I heard J.P. Delaney would be releasing a novel this year I was excited because I really enjoyed The Girl Before . Believe Me when I say, this book was not exactly the book I thought I would be reading.

In "Believe Me" we meet Claire, a struggling British actress who is looking to make it big in New York. She fell on hard times and to support her dreams she takes on odd jobs that leads her into some messy situations.

There were a lot of lies, twists and unbelievable things that took place in this book, even with those things happening I still wasn't thrilled. Overall the book fell flat for me. I did enjoy the first half of the book but by part 3 I was dying for it to end.
