MARAVILLOSO

Loved the ending and that stinger in the epilogue.

Ha! Had to go back to that ending and make sure I heard it right. Enjoyed this one. Rosalyn Landor is not my favorite narrator, but she’s always better than I remember. There was one thing where she did a regular British accent for the Duchess of Layton. But if it’s the same Duchess of Layton as the love by number series, she should be Italian I think. But I need to see a timeline to confirm. I suppose it could have been the mother.

Enjoyable read. Recommend.

I would have rated it 3 but the ending ruined it. Over dramatic and the internal conflict between the characters annoyed me.

When I started the book, it was going so well. The tension between Mara and Temple was just wow. Wow. All their romantic encounters was full og angst. And the mystery of why Mara fled was intriguing. But when the reason was revealed, I was left unsatisfied. I expected something more sinister i guess.

Also the scene with Temple injured and dying was too much.

I wish it was so much better.

Second time reading this because I decided to read it in order this time around. To be honest, it’s much more interesting to read now than the first time, but my rating didn’t change as I still found Mara unlikeable.
