Another trip to Angel Sands, and another beautifully written romance.

This cast of characters just keeps getting better and better, I never want too leave. I feel like it's a TV show that I have to wait for weekly updates.

Cait and Breck are great lead characters who, while perfect for one another, are flawed and relateable. Add in the Christmas vibe and the entire book is gorgeous.

I can't wait for even more from this California beachside town that I wish was real so I could move there.

Cute

I always enjoy a small town romance by Carrie Elks and this one is no different. If you want an easy little romance book to read, I would check this series out.

Brother’s best friends, I’m-not-good-enough-for-you, trauma, a christmas wedding…. I mean, I think I just convinced everyone.

Caitie and Breck are both afraid of some things in life, things that traumatized them. Those phobias are both in the middle of the book, interfering between their love for each other, but they also learn to overcome them. In the end, we get to see only a few times Lucas being overprotective of his sister so this trope is kinda silent in this book !

There’s also a (not) love triangle, with a friend of the group being all over Breck and Him just being polite and not interested in her at all. Which was kinda fun to read about (the jalousy !!!) even though we don’t really get an ending with Rachel. I feel like she will get her book and she’s going to bitch about it !

We also get to see Amber and Lucas’ wedding : the first couple to get a book in this series. They weren’t my favorite couple but it’s always nice to read about them again !

Tropes I remember about this book :

it was a little frustrating that Breck just didn’t want to be straight with Rachel. Like you and everyone in this town can see this lady is super into you and you opt to say…nothing? Obviously I was irritated on Caitie’s behalf, but I started feeling a little bad for Rachel too

This one was good too but had some cringey moments in it. I do think the anxiety was well done though.

I’ve loved every book I’ve read by Carrie Elks so far. And the books in the Angel Sands Series are no exception. So when I heard the fourth book in the series was coming, and it had a Christmas theme, I couldn’t be more excited. A Christmas and Carrie Elks read is my kind of perfect. So when I was able too, I started reading as fast as I could.

In ‘Just A Kiss’ we meet Brecken Miller. Brecken is back in the little town he grew up in after leaving it years ago after his mom died. Now his best friend Lucas is getting married at Christmas, a time Breck normally disappears to escape the day his mom past away all those years ago. But with a wedding coming up, disappearing isn’t an option. And when Brecken sees Lucas’s baby sister Caitie for the first time in years, he is struck by her beauty and kindness.Caitie rarely comes back to the little town her parents and brother still life. But with her brother getting married, and her helping out with the wedding preparations she can’t stay away anymore. And when she sees one of her brothers friends, who she had a major crush on growing up, she can’t deny it’s good to be back home.

‘Just A Kiss’ is definitely a great, fun and really romantic read. I loved this book from the very first page. The two main characters Brecken and Caitie have this chemistry between them that is flying of the pages, and I just loved getting to know them. The whole best friend of her brother thing, is always something I enjoy. (Perhaps because my husband is the brother of one of my school girlfriends LOL) And the whole Christmas thing made this book even more enjoyable. I found myself reading this book till way to late because I just couldn’t get enough.

The best part about this book for me, was definitely how ‘real’ Brecken and Caitie where. They aren’t perfect, and their life isn’t perfect. It really makes this book feel like something that could really happen and I love that.

Next to the two main characters we also get to read about the other characters in the Angel Sands series, and I just love that. It’s like catching up with old friends!! And we also get to read about Caitlie’s best friend Harper, and I can’t wait to read more about her. I read something about her book coming up next. I’m excited.

If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing and very romantic Christmas read.. This book is definitely for you.

This being the 4th book in the Angel Sands series and with a Christmassy theme running throughout, I was really excited to read it!

This one centres around Caitie (Lucas's younger sister) who has been tasked with planning Lucas and Ember's Christmas wedding. And Breck, one of Lucas's old friends who has recently returned to work on the Silver Sands resort alongside Aiden from the previous story.

Caitie loves Christmas - so much so she runs a holiday business consulting companies on all things Christmas. Breck hates Christmas after losing his mum on Christmas Eve 12 years ago. So they're never going to work, right?

It started with just a kiss all those years ago and the feelings are there from the off when they are reunited. We haven't really heard much about these two characters so it was nice to delve deeper - while yet again, still hearing from the ones we love already!

Though it's not generally a Christmas story, it's set around the Christmas period and Elks really sets the scene - considering the location is a warm beachy area which I'm not used to with Christmas stories! But I really got a feel for the festive season and the love - and heartbreak - that comes with it.

Yet again, I can't wait for the next installment!
