“I've got the key to my castle in the air, but whether I can unlock the door remains to be seen.“

The story follows the lives of the four March sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy—and details their passage from childhood to womanhood.

The story is so beautifully written. I loved the detailed description of all the sisters and their relationships with each other. Each character was unique and lovable. The story is very easy to get into and follow, I definitely would recommend it as a start to getting into classics, but the story is so powerful and meaningful that I think everyone should read it. Definitely has become one of my favourite books I’ve ever read!

This has always been such a comfort read and perfectly encapsulates the female experience in such a timeless, beautiful way.

What a cozy little book. The type of book to transport you from a rainy dreary day into sunny meadow full of butterflies and clouds. (Yes it's raining right now)

This book really sped up towards the end and I found myself really immersed in the Marchs 19th century life. This included me continuously referring to everything as CAPITAL! This book was truly some capital stuff.

I really was pleasantly surprised to see this book differ from the movie. Yes... don't come after me, I did watch the movie first!

I really related with Jo, Meg and Amy. Jo's sense of rebellion and ball of energy felt like home. Meg's older sister vibes and naivity to the world of love was relatable. Shout out to all my older siblings! And Amy, sweet Amy, really truelly just wanted to give Amy a big hug.

Ok hear me out. I didn't have a strong connection with Beth. I feel as if she had the least character development and was just perceived as a quiet, perfect, humble child. I appreciate all these qualities in her but I really wish we got to explore her character more. LIKE EVEN HANNAH SPOKE MORE THAN BETH. . COME ON... Tell me some of your flaws Beth, TELL ME!!!

I am truly glad Beth got better in the end. However was expecting the alternate reality as portrayed in the movie. Someone, please explain to me why the movie was so different!?

All in all this book was delightful and would recommend it to anyone craving a homely feeling.

Truly a pleasant read but the ending was too abrupt. So all in all, I give this book a 3.75/5. ⭐️

Like everyone else, I love the 2019 movie adaptation of Little Women. It's such a wonderful tale of family love and childhood. I can't say I love the book the same, but it was still enjoyable. It's very outdated and preachy, but I have an unending amount of love for the March sisters. <3
