Such a joy to read! I loved the celebrations of the seasons and how the subplots come full circle. The characters felt real and unique. I loved all the stories and legends that are referenced and told. I look forward to hearing more about Omakayas in the rest of the series!

This was a very cozy read for me. It gave me a lot of Little House on the Prairie vibes, being interesting even though it is just a story of normal day to day life because it was a very different way of life, very nature-oriented and involving very different technology, and because the characters and their family relationships are themselves interesting and lovable.
