Too much of this book is bleak as fuck. It took ages for everyone to reunite and reading it was making me depressed as hell for the first 20% at least, and it’s such a long book as well. I had to look up the ending before I finished because I was getting so impatient. There’s so much god damn filler content. The last book was not very plot heavy because it was more character focused, this was the same. But it didn’t do it anywhere near as well. You know it’s getting boring when I put the audiobook in 2.5x speed.
There wasn’t enough Lance/Darcy content. Like anywhere near enough, but despite that, they were still able to be the best couple in this whole series. Every word from that man’s lips is pure gold. Every thought he has. I would die for him. I love them so much, sweet little Blue and her king. But they were shafted again, they seem to suffer more than anyone else. My poor babies, stay strong for me
