 DNFing this (for now) at page 615 because I haven't touched it in over two months. I want to finish the series eventually because I'm in too deep to not find out how it ends, but why the HECK are the last two books so freaking long?!

Despite it being so long I really enjoyed it. The last part really made the book as at times it could feel slow but so many story lines were incorporated so that can be understandable. My one criticism for this book and this series in general is i feel like there are many instances when a battle breaks out and it feels like the outcome of the war is resting on it for nothing to really come, I definitely feel like a couple of these could have been removed. There are certainly parts where I'm getting annoyed with characters when they just need to talk more or get on with things, but I still think these can be useful to pace the book and unlike the dark fae series I wasn't taken out of the story by these moments.
