Anyone who’s ever had a life-changing teacher knows what a gift it is. Lila Greer is an anxious child constantly pondering many what-ifs, but a kind teacher helps her find friends and self-confidence. Now that she’s a teacher, Lila finds a way to be that person for her students, even though her self-doubt never completely disappears. This is a moving picture book with tons of kid appeal, perfect for the anxious kid on their first day of school, after a big move, or just any day the what-ifs strike.

The Questioneers picture book series is one of my absolute favourites ever. And Lila Greer, Teacher of the Year continues to prove why. This particular edition to the series felt extra special to me as I'm a teacher myself and it was just so beautiful to read the story of the teacher of these second graders. Lila Greer is already familiar to those of us who have been reading since Rosie Revere, and with each picture book, we got a little more insight to this teacher of this incredible class of second graders. This is sure to become readers and teachers' favourite picture book as it has become mine.
