*I received a free ARC of One Tiny Lie from Atria Books via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review*

One Tiny Lie is even better than Ten Tiny Breaths - I cried, I smiled and I nodded my head in agreement!

This review was originally posted on my blog (un)Conventional Bookviews

One Tiny Lie starts with Kayce and Oliva sitting on the deck, discussing mundane things.

I probably would have liked this heaps more if it didn’t seem like Ashton was stringing her along most of the time. It was the messages he left after they did something sexual that made me uncomfortable. If he didn’t do that and then insist (multiple times) for her to stay with his best friend, I would have at least given this a 4 stars, but it really rubbed me the wrong way. I also expected much more drama/angst after the first book and I just didn’t quite get it here? Sure, I won’t say his story isn’t awful, but I think in the end it’s all just wrapped up so quickly and nicely and off page and it made the story kind of fall flat.

I’m a little disappointed the rest of this series isn’t about the friends she made at college, but I also get that the people it will be were in both this and book one so it makes more sense. Truthfully, I just liked them more. I wanted to see more Grant and Ty lol.

Anyway, I’m still willing to try the next one but I’m not super eager, need to start it now so I don’t know when I’ll get to it.

I would also like to add I really didn’t like how much the word whore was used and some ways things were said at times.

Also, confused by the name. Where was the TINY lie? Lol

Ah. So. Good. K.A. Tucker expertly blends emotion, humor, tension, heartbreak, healing, and steamy (really steamy) romance in ONE TINY LIE. As much as I loved Kasey in TEN TINY BREATHS, I loved Livie even more b/c she was so relatable. Always the perfect one, the one who has it all together and planned out, Livie goes off to college with a plan. One that didn't include bad boy-slash-train wreck Ashton. More than a romance, this book is about self discovery and the courage to take a chance and spend a little time in that scary, wonderfully pregnant place where you have no idea what do to with your life. Definitely one of my favorite reads this year thus far.

The beginning of this book was literally amazing. I had so much fun reading it! But the middle was just a little less for me, because I didn't really like that Connor guy. I also found it a pity that Ashton and Livie were never really together in a real relationship. But I loved the parts were the characters from the previous books were all together again, though there should have been even more for me. The ending of this book was definitely gripping. On the the next one!

The environment/plot was probably one of the main reasons why I enjoyed this book so much. I am in college, as well, so I related a lot to Livie’s problems—not being sure that the major you’re pursuing is what you actually want to do, not being prepared for the work load and how to balance that as well as a healthy social life. Along with what happened in the past, Livie has it tough. She works through it though, like the strong woman that she is. Livie is such a great girl/character. Her character development is incredible. Especially from how she was in Ten Tiny Breaths. She finally got over all of her insecurities. She became a strong, independent woman and I am so proud of her...

One. I don't really see the connection between the title and the story. Two. It wasn't that much of a mystery as what the beginning promised.

I did not like this book. The whole thing just glorified cheating but I've rated worse written books higher so my whole rating system is askew I've realised. I should just start throwing tomatoes at these books instead of giving them any stars.
