Another gem by Agatha Christie. This one I remembered very well from my reading some years ago, but I remembered because it's clever. This is a good one for Miss Marple fans; she figures strongly throughout the novel.

I liked it. It was clever, like all Christie novels. But I found myself missing the approach of Hercule Poirot’s “little grey cells.” This book was missing an element of drama that Poirot mysteries never fail to deliver on. The ending was just a bit anticlimactic.

4.5 DAMN IT CHRISTIE, WHY CAN I NEVER GUESS IT!
Otro gran caso para la incomparable Miss Marple. La detective absoluta. Debo decir que la trama me atrapo muy rápido y aunque me hubiera gustado una participación mas grande de Jane Marple, los personajes secundarios son todos igual de interesantes y las posibilidades todas igual de probables. Agatha Christie nunca me ha decepcionado y espero que ese día jamás llegue. Otra historia redonda donde cada detalle cuenta, imposible parar de leer una vez inicias gracias a sus muchos giros argumentales.
Mi vida es mucho mas alegre desde que me hice fan de esta autora.

I feel like this book is not Agatha’s best. The solution to the mystery is pretty easy. But even so, this story (and Marina Gregg herself) is so important to me.
And it includes this perfect quote:
“You could blame the war (both the wars) or the younger generation, or women going out to work, or the atom bomb, or just the Government - but what one really meant was the simple fact that one was growing old.”
