This book was extremely difficult for me to read. Had this book not been for a book club I would have DNF’d it less than halfway in.

I tried reading the unabridged version and I just could not get into it. The audio version was much shorter and kept to just the interesting and adventurous parts. A rather thrilling detective/psychological thriller set in the late 1800s, which was an interesting setting.
