i like the way its written, the narration (and side-comments) is funny. the characters are all very unique. definitely a well-written book on difficult topics and the harder things in life.

scandal! absolute scandal, the tea is scalding in this one

a very bold rating perhaps, and this book is certainly not for everyone, but if it doesnt make me giggle maniacally at 3am, is it even worth reading?

very funny, beagins descriptions are so tongue and cheek. it feels surreal and absolutely absurd and very weird, which i happen to resonate with. but also its real and tender

i love the weird kinda toxic lesbians they give me life

Wonderful, refreshing writing style and tone. Good characterization although the main characters' idiosyncrasies teetered on overly quirky and unique. Loved the premise of this ethical dilemma, but it wasn't really much of a dilemma for Greta. Greta's constant immaturity and satirical or ironic ramblings got annoying quickly, especially during sex scenes. Too many weird race comments or "jokes" that didn't feel right coming from Beagin; felt less like an attempt at painting Greta as racially insensitive (or simply racist) and more so like an attempt to turn Greta into an ironic edge-lord 15 year old boy trapped in a 45 year old queer woman's body. So weird. Wouldn't classify as a romance OR a love story, even though that is how it is branded on the back of the book. I knew better going in, but I wanted to clarify that it is by no means a love story.

Such a fun read about a middle-aged woman, living in a rundown house full of bees and becoming infatuated with a much younger woman.

Loved the witty dialogue, and descriptions of characters even though it was sometimes trying too hard to be weird. The last bit of the book was a bit disappointing.
