Great memoir but it only felt half finished.

Moving tribute. File under: sibling bonds. Life partners. Creativity. Loss.

Decent story, writing is fairly adolescent; and such a salty way to treat half of his career with a single sentence.

I didn’t expect to give this five stars. Van Halen was omnipresent when I was growing up. I wasn't a huge fan — maybe I would be if I had seen them live — but I gotta' say, when I saw this book cover, the awesome and expressive B&W photo, and the simple title, "Brothers", I decided to give it a shot. Wow! So good! Such a great story of earnest beginnings. Inseparable brothers. A whole household focused on music. The long grind to make it.
Tales of life as a rock n' roll band. But always coming back to the bond Al and Ed had. The coda made me cry. Read this book!
