In addition to the action, Anderle is expanding the roster of characters and making Brownstone's world richer and deeper. I like the rotating viewpoint characters. The main story is interesting and Brownstone solves Vegas's serial killer problem in his own inimitable fashion: loud and bloody.

This was a very dark book, I loved it. The murderer is a twisted evil soul who enjoys making children cry and traumatising them. I loved when we got Red Eye's POV throughout the story and wish there were more. There was so much Maria in this book and I'm going to say this straight out but I don't like her, she was far too prominent in this book. Those pages could have been used as more POV for Red Eyes.
