though I found her style to be a little too “quirky” or “men be like/ women be like” for me, I enjoyed the occasional argument every chapter or so. Plus you have to commend someone who admits to owning a “nasty women” mug and uses nevertheless she persisted unironically.

Such a fascinating book. I love linguistics and this really dove into so many interesting and relevant topics about why we talk the way we do and more specifically how gendered language shapes our world.
