though I found her style to be a little too “quirky” or “men be like/ women be like” for me, I enjoyed the occasional argument every chapter or so. Plus you have to commend someone who admits to owning a “nasty women” mug and uses nevertheless she persisted unironically.

Such a fascinating book. I love linguistics and this really dove into so many interesting and relevant topics about why we talk the way we do and more specifically how gendered language shapes our world.

Probably would've been more impactful if English was my first language, however still very interesting and informative.
